This is NOT your boring, flavorless oatmeal. My one-pot recipe for supporting blood sugar and hormones while keeping you SUPER full throughout the day.

We're giving regular oatmeal a serious upgrade with coconut butter, cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, and some delicious toppings.

I love adding fresh berries, chopped nuts, or low-sugar granola. You can also throw in a scoop of collagen or whey protein powder for an extra protein boost.

Make it on the stove or in the microwave, and customize it with whatever extras you love. Simple, nourishing, and definitely not your average bowl of oatmeal.

Instructions

01

Prepare ½ cup rolled oats, cooked with 1 cup water. This can be done on the stove or in the microwave.

02

When almost all the way cooked, add a tablespoon of coconut BUTTER—this is important! Butter, not oil. So good, and will fill you up with nourishing fats. If you don't have that on hand (but seriously, put it in your Amazon cart RN!).

03

Add several dashes of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. This sweetens it without sugar.

04

FOR MORE PROTEIN: Add a scoop of collagen or whey protein powder.

05

Put into a bowl and then add fresh fruit (berries are my fave but you do you) and some chopped nuts or low-sugar granola like Purely Elizabeth's grain-free granola.

BONUS EXTRA: A tablespoon of ground flax seed. This is for anyone experiencing low estrogen symptoms like night sweats, vaginal dryness, low mood. Flax is a wonderful estrogen supporter.

ANOTHER BONUS EXTRA: Stir in beetroot powder. You get an extra antioxidant and detoxification boost from the beets, and it turns it pink (my 3 year old loves this!).

Enjoy!
